Educational Qualifications
(i) A Master’s Degree from a recognized University or the same in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or because the medium of examination at Degree level

A Master’s Degree from an identified university or an equivalent in any other subject except Hindi or English, with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a mandatory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at Degree level
OR
A Master’s Degree from a recognised University or an equivalent in any subject except Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as a mandatory or elective subject or either of the two as a mode of examination and other as a compulsory or elective subject at Degree level.
(ii) Any Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and from English to Hindi or 2-years of relevant experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in any Central or State Government office, including the undertaking from Government of India.

Selection Process 2025
The selection procedure for the position of Junior Translator/Hindi is broken into three steps. The first level is an online computer-based test with a total score of 100 points, which qualifies you for the second stage, a translation test. The last and last step is document verification and medical examination. If there is any change in the selection procedure for the 2025 cycle, it will be updated shortly as the formal announcement is released. The specifics of the selection process are explained below:
1. Computer Based Test
The question paper for the CBT is designed in such a way that it tests both the knowledge of Hindi Language as well as the English Language. At least 50% of the questions will test language proficiency. It is divided like- 20% for English and 30% for Hindi. The rest 50% of the question will test General Awareness, General Knowledge, Simple Arithmetic, and Computer basics.
2. Translation Test
This test will be conducted after the CBT. Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be called for the translation test. The call is based on the merit of the objective type CBT, duly taking under consideration the reservation requirements. The Translation Test is a qualifying test with qualifying marks of 60%.
3. Document Verification and Medical Examination
Based on the performance of the CBT and the Translation Test, candidates will be called in 50% of the vacancies.
